Default Problem updating Navigation maps

I downloaded the TomTom HOME program, but when I stick the SD chip into my PC the program still says "device not connected" . Anyone have any idea why this isn't working for me?

Depending on the year of your CX-5, there was a software update for TomTom. Not sure what the update was designed to fix though. Give the local dealer a call and see if yours falls into that campaign. It is a free software update by the way.

Took the car to the dealer today for its 12 month checkup, and the service manager told me what to do. Apparently, the 2016 CX-5 does not use the Tom Tom Home program. You have to go to the MazdaUSA web site and follow the links to download the Mazda Toolbox program on your PC. When you run the program you create a logon ID for yourself, and it prompts you to insert your SD card. The program will track your 3 year free updates period, backup your SD card to your PC, and do map and software updates to your chip. Works like a champ - now that I'm using the right program!

Wow - took 4 1/2 hours to update my maps. That's with a DSL line at 3 mbps download speed. The manager said her Comcast connection at 75mbps took less than an hour.

I am having issues with the Mazda Toolbox - I try to back it up, it gets to 99%, then fails.
"Backup error on System Volume Information"

I've unistalled and reinstalled the app.

It also says that I logged on in February BUT I just bought this car three days ago?!?!?

Have you ran into this at all?

Nope - running perfectly for me. Did you get your SD card from the dealer or a 3rd party site? Also, we just bought an MX-5 and the dealer said we had to have 63 miles on the odometer before we backed up the chip because that is when the car puts the VIN stamp on the SD card. This is done so you can't make copies to be used in other cars (especially ones that aren't yours!)
