Looking for some help with this.

I do not have the Mazda gps system. When I use my phone's (nexus 5) google maps, the navigation will take over and no music will play. Is there a way to have the bluetooth connection from the phone not be the sole audio? Because once I select bluetooth connection nexus 5, I can't get the nav to cut in while music plays.
