Has anyone had a problem with paint chipping? We have soul red paint and when we purchased it we didn’t notice all the hologram swirling all over the car. It is in many places and it has 25-50 chips all over it. I took it to dealership and they put stickers on not even half the chips, took pictures and had me take to an auto body shop for an estimate. Over 5,000.00 to have painted. This will only fix hood, doors with chips, and a few areas that they will blend into existing paint. Worried about the rest of car that will not be painted. Auto body guy acted like we should make Mazda replace car, as he can only repaint where there are chips. Car is just 1 year on roads. What is this hologram swirls? Has anyone had a manufactured defect in paint?

In our case, we have the red soul as well and no issues so far for about 1.5 years.

Regarding the swirls, did you have it hand-washed somewhere or taken through an automated car wash with the rotating/swirling brushes?
