Navigation Sim card
A few months ago, we bought a sim card for our 2024 CX5, from Amazon. It worked fine for a while, but now works intermittently, with no apparent hint as to when it comes and goes. We cannot send it back, any hints on how to fix it?
I would be careful about cleaning a sim card with anything except computer board cleaner or just wipe it with a lint free cloth.
It does not read so far as a defective Sicard because of the use time being a few months ago. Generally, if there is a problem it will be almost immediate.

That could work! It must have a 30 day return period, me check! Thanks!

It really does not read as a bad sim card itself but it may have been cloned on a low quality Sim card?
Supposedly you also will not be able to update the non OEM cards as Mazda has locked the aftermarket ones down (not sure how they did this). Please let us know if you are able to update the card.
**They never did that. An internet rumor. However uploading a *MAZDA update will corrupt some aftermarket copied program . This really destroyers the original mapping and you end up buying a new replacement simcard card. There is just no easy cheat. You either use the copied mapping or you pay for the auto manufacture dealership maps. I believe my nerd computer techie also said that there are *codes in the programing that must match when updating. But he was babbling on as he often does and I did not catch all that info he was talking about? LOL

It is something in the registration of the card which keys the updater in to it being a fake card. Even the major players who sell aftermarket cards added a disclaimer on the site saying the cards would not be able to be updated (check this out to confirm: https://maznavstore.com/products/bhp166ez1t-mazda) . What is strange is it seemed to start suddenly with the newer cards. Many folks bought aftermarket cards (i.e. not from a dealership) which would not update when they tried the first time. The one I purchased (aftermarket) in 2021 has worked perfectly and updated for the 3 yrs it was supposed to. There was a certain timeframe that Mazda stopped allowing the aftermarket cards to be updated. It wasn't a rumor. It happened. This is why I asked if the OP would let us know if this continues to be the case.
