Default is my iStop really working?

Dear Friends
I just bought a Mazda cx5 a month back and wondering if my iStop is really working? The trial car i had, the engine shuts down when i stop completely and then restarts when i accelerate and all this i can feel and here it. But the cx 5 i have now i cant seem to notice if my car engine really stops using iStop. The engine is still running when i brake and stop completely and i notice no difference like i did with trial car. But on dashboard it shows that iStop was in use for such and such time during my drive.

Please any suggestion help would be grateful.

Thank you all
urgyen

What does the tachometer say while you are stopped?

I haven’t really noticed anything out of ordinary. What I should be looking for ? Anything special?

If the engine is shutting down during your stop, the tach will zero out, so it sounds like it's not working.

Well, since on the first picture shows the tach, it's hard to say what's going on.

If your rev counter / tachometer doesn't go to ZERO when you come to a complete stop, then i-stop is not operating. Plain & simple.

My first post here. There are scenarios when i-stop won't work. The engine just started and the batteries aren't fully charged yet. Outside temperature is high, interior temp has not stabilized. Likewise, when battery charge level goes down or the interior cabin gets hot, the engine would start by itself even when your foot is on the brake pedal.

If you only brake softly it may not work. After you stop next time try pushing the brake a little harder and see what happens.
