Default Mazda CX5 Nav Maps

I was never aware of the 3 yr update window and I bought my lease out 2 months ago. The Toolbox app says I am past any free updates. My question is this: From 2019 till 8/2022 do the maps or Nav interface change dramatically? I've not had a lot of luck with the NAV and usually use Google Maps.
Was wondering what the differences were and if you all feel it is worth using the Mazda Toolbox to buy updates.
Thank you,
Dorothy

The Mazda GPS system is no where near as good as the phone based systems. I have 3 Mazdas with the Nav systems. One we never updated. Not much difference. I have a few days left on mine and will likely update it but if not, I won't worry about it.

I don't think it is worth upgrading, but even without updating it, I think it is worth having for when you don't need GPS but like it for quick reroutes.

Thank you very much. I'll just use as is, the 2017 maps, and continue with Google maps etc.

Same here, I had the free updates until the end of 2020. Since then, I use Google maps, though I still find the exit information on the Mazda Nav useful when we are on a road trip.
