Mazda CX-5 stalls immediately

Mazda CX-5 stalls immediately
Hello Experts,
I have an issue starting my car and was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction to determine the cause of the issue.
I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 GT (not a diesel); it has not moved since last year. Last week, as the battery was dead, I switched it for a new one: the car started fine and I was able to move it a few feet. The next day, it won't start (turns on and stalls immediately, no time to press on the accelerator, etc.). I have included a recording if it helps. I tried my OBD2 diagnostic tool, no dice, the car stalls before I can get any info. From my online research, I thought it might be the MAF sensor; I removed it and cleaned it, but again no dice. Interestingly, when electric system is still on (radio on), I can hear a noise in my engine, something like a short-circuit noise (the noise seems to be coming from between the MAF and the engine block). I have included the recording in case it provides useful info.
That's all the data I was able to gather. It would be greatly appreciated if anybody could share their insights into what might be wrong, given the symptoms or suggest additional tests to get more data points.

Tried it out and ... the car starts! Thanks for the suggestion, it seems to fix the problem! Whether the air filter is on or off does not change anything, so it definitely is correlated with the MAF.
Now the only question remaining is whether it is definitely the sensor that is at fault or if this might be the symptom of another bad part (bad relay, etc.).

Found something cheap on Amazon. The downside is that it will take a while to arrive, plus I have no idea about the parts quality. Worse comes to worst I'll splurge on an original part. Too bad cleaning it didn't work...
