Default Mazda CX-5 Mech Review - Youtube - posted 08-17-2020

The referenced 2021 Mazda CX-5 "Mechanical Review" (17 minutes) is reasonably well done and informative.
Just a question: The content creator indicates that Mazda CX-5s (and perhaps more broadly speaking than that) are EXTREMELY
prone to under-carriage rust in Northern States with heavily salted roads. He indicates that even with all the 'buttoning up' done underneath,
this is the case.

Is this a 'rap' on Mazdas that anyone has heard? Is there anything about the design that tends to throw salty water up into the suspension and frame more so than any other car? As I have commented before, the latest 2021 CX-5 seems to have the best 'closure' of the frame underneath that I have ever seen on any Car. My previously-owned Chevy was basically entirely open - compared to the Mazda - and lower down to the road surface.

Any thoughts? Thank you Reuben
