Easy. Just take the mechanical key out. Driver's Door mechanical key will actuate the power locks. I did it two days ago. Anything longer than a minute or two, might as well shut off the engine.

Thanks for that. I tried to do this last week as I had my cat with me and wanted to stop for an hour and leave the car running. I was able to do the remote start from the app, but it shut the car off after a bit so I had to go back and restart it. I couldn't lock it, but I was in a safe area so it wasn't a big deal at the time. Great to know I can lock the car if needed.

Two ways. You'll need both remotes to do so for the best way.
Leave remote on drivers seat and use the demand button to lock all doors.
Worst way, Leave remote on the front most part of console, car might/maybe/possibly lock itself and lock you out.
Car will not respond to other remote or demand buttons. Only way in is through the rear lift gate. Not fun.
Done both.

Just my personal opinion: Leaving the car running unattended is not a good idea. Possible theft and other dangers.
