Default I’m here to find out what’s up with my GF’s CX-5

Hi from the mountains of Tennessee! I just got told by a Mazda dealer that “corrosion has spread girlfriend’s from the battery into the wiring harness” on my 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring. I’ve always been more of a Ford and Chevy guy, so I’m here to ask questions! I’m an HVAC tech by trade, so I’m pretty good with cars and everything mechanical. Looking forward to learning!

Well if you DIY on fords then replacing the damaged portion of the harness is easy . Ford has had some similar issues and even a recall to replace some harness sections. Seems you are skilled at working on home and business HVAC system it should be easy for you.

As you know the grounds and where they are at and how well the connection is etc., is the main cause for the positive battery cable to degrade.
