How to Replace a 2018 CX-5 Mirror Cover?
I got into an accident and cracked my passenger side mirror cover. I found the part available from realmazdaparts.com, but can't find any tutorials or youtube videos on how to disassemble so that I can replace it. Is it as simple as popping the cover off? Will I have to deal with any electrical or can I just muscle this off and pop the new one on? If not- does anyone know where I can find a tutorial?

All, I hate to thread jack but my CX-5 has a similar issue, except my lower black encasing of the mirror has been cracked with a few pieces broken off (in the white square). Does anyone know where I could find this part and how hard it would be to DIY replace? I don't see a walk through of this section in the online service manual. Thanks!
Black half circled in blue needs to be replaced. Part circled in white has been cracked.

The black part is not available as a separate part, your would need to either buy a secondhand mirror from the wreckers or a mirror assembly from Mazda and swap over your glass & painted cover.
