How to get Mazda Carplay Retrofit working again?

Been working great for 2 years but now the CarPlay option is grayed our in settings.

Check USB Cables

pop the usb module out and make sure the USB cables are connected. Then you need to check to see if the cables are connected behind the infotainment center. It's hit or miss while you're there you need to try different USB cables if that doesn't work, your module is bad
