What do people think of this for a conversion:

I’ve heard some negatives about the reliability and actual increase in performance with the drop in LEDs from Amazon.
thanks

No major OEM is using HID anymore. Most high-end automakers are using LED projectors, some LED reflectors, a few German automakers are using expensive Laser systems in their most expensive products.
The LED projectors in my 19 CX-5 can light hundreds of meters down the road on a level surface, in low beam. I would try a highly rated LED system (there are hundreds to choose) on Amazon and return it if it doesn't meet your expectations. If it doesn't meet your expectations, you can still spend $116 (2-3x more expensive than plug and play replacement) from that site.

These are OEM. I'd just try a highly rated (4.5+ average) kit. You can even try 2 and return 1 or both if they don't meet your expectations. I've done that before with Amazon. I do order a lot from there.

On my previous vehicle I replaced the H11 fog light bulbs (55W) with an OPT7 LED H11 kit and they were brighter and wider than the projector high beams (also replaced from halogen to LED). On that car, you could only run low+high or low+fog so it was easy to compare. There are numerous variables, but most of these replacement kits outperform halogens and by a noticeable amount.

Can anyone be so kind as to provide an Amazon link to LED bulbs that they have had success in replacing the stock halogens with. I really want low beams that are brighter! Thanks.
