Hi Guys,
I messed up!

First time doing my brakes on a 2018 CX5.

I removed disk and pads, the caliper piston didn't want to be pushed.....didn't know why until I found I needed to activate the "brake maintenance mode" to relief the pressure on the parking brake.

You see me coming.....I've done the brake maintenance mode procedure...without the pads and disk...MAJOR ERROR.

Now the piston won't retract, it seems locked in fully "deployed" position, maybe too far and might be jammed.

Anyone has an idea how to fix my mistake before towing the car to the dealer ?

Unless you can find a brake specialist to overhaul the caliper, your up for a new caliper.

Sheesh, another think to watch out for when working on a modern car. Guess I need to find a good shop manual for my 2021 before I break it while working on it.
