Default 2018 mazda CX5 low speed jerky

My 2018 mazda cx5, about 1000 miles. When I stop and then press the gas , I felt jerky and stuttering at the low speed sometimes. Is it normal or something wrong with the transmission?

Normal with an AWD car at low speeds (0-5 mph). If you're still feeling it once you're up to speed then there's a problem.

I noticed my 2018 CX5 does that when I first start it up and go slow but after it warms up I don't notice it. I think its just that the motor is running a little higher RPMs till its gets warm. Don't think its a problem.

Same here. But I partially blame the torque vectoring. As you turn the steering wheel, the computer retards the spark to reduce torque and slightly slow the car as you enter a curve. When I leave my drive, I take an immediate left, drive straight about 15 feet, then a sharp right onto another street. When I turn the steering it slows slightly, then speeds up when I straighten, then lurches slow again as I turn again. This is all at very slow speed. I had also wondered if the car is switching to 2 cylinders and then back to 4, but that is supposed to only happen at idle?

also transmission fluid/ hydraulics operate differently once warmed up .. this is why honda used to have a transmission WARMER on their Accord.. at least my 2005 V6 had one.. it was made to warm up the transmission fluid quicker so that on morning drives or in winter, the shifting wouldnt be so jerky.. once warm, it was gone..

My Mazda 3 does not do this at all. But with my CX-5, it can be severe. Starting on an incline, my CX-5 can almost stop, then surge forward.

Default Auto Hold

If your CX-5 is equipped with 'Auto Hold' you may feel a bit of jerkiness after coming out of a full stop. Doesn't feel too bad, it just does not feel like your softly moving after initially pressing on the gaz

Strangely, it is never Jerky when going in reverse, just when going forward.

How many gears does reverse have ? How many in the other direction ?

I just bought a 2019 CX-5 Sport with 5000 miles. I notice the jerky shifting mostly when going straight. First to second gear and second to third gear. Second to third is a little jarring at times. Is that normal?? I also notice the inability to coast at lower speeds.....it bogs down after lifting off the throttle (could be down shifting). I had a Ford Escape 2wd that had the shift feeling.....I traded it after 2 weeks!
