Default Headlight

I have a 2021 CX-5. Recently hit a deer. After body shop completed repairs ( Replaced RF headlight) I till have a light out indicator and the adaptive head lights do not work. Auto high- low works fine. Do these headlights need to be programmed or can I reset from the car.

Best option is to return vehicle to body shop & get them to fix it.

The settlement generally cannot be re-opening however some auto insurance companies can amend a settlement paid out. Depending on the insurance company and the contract between the insurance company and the insured. The service work that did the work can be responsible to correct the problem that was included in the service depending on how the estimate and the wording of the repair. However, unless we can see the actual information like the detailed service order and the insurance companies authorized service work then we can only guess who is responsible and who has to take care of it! The basic information suggests the shop that did the service (a guess) !

Its all in the details on the service agreement.

If the headlight is working and the auto leveling is working, then nothing needs to be done.
If you were at a dealership, you could have asked for a ECU flash ,they may have give it to you as a courtesy if you purchased the Mazda from them. Flashing is not required free under Mazda warranty unless their is service in question that flashing the ECU may clear a problem. An auto accident/crash is not covered under warranty.
