Most MAZDA parts are not universal and model specific in the part numbering. So, selling even a known part that will work could void it warranty. However, a universal part like a remote start system generally has multiple application and its own warranty coverage which may even be at times better then OEM can be stocked and sold for many applications over a few years.

So this also seems reasonable on a remote start system to sell an aftermarket unit over an OEM?



I really think the only issue reading over this thread is that the OP may have not been explained clearly what he was purchasing and having installed on the MAZDA. But all he has to do is look at the service authorization signed which I am sure has the aftermarket part listed in some fashion?


I would think a look in any DEALER (of any auto manufacture not just MAZDA) parts center will show dozens on NONE OEM aftermarket parts and accessories available to customers?
