As an example, this forum has gotten a membership increase 36% more than other Mazda forums new membership. The downside is most are joining to solve problems and then do not return? I cannot possibly nor can grimreaper stay up on all their question to help them all.
One of the pictures i posted today has a lot of forum information if examined more. Also looking at the forums general statistical information daily gives a lot about the popularity of this forum and when compared to other Mazda forums this forum growth is stronger and consistence.
Having a few less then supportive characters (newer members) causing somewhat negative entertainment actually increases visitor viewing which at some point they join the forum ! LOL
I have a marketer that sends me forum stats on a regular basis.
