Just picked it up and I love it, how reliable has your cx5 been? Should I get the 10yr 100k mazda platinum warranty for $1500?

I’m happy to be here!

Greetings and welcome! I too am a newcomer here with my first Mazda. 22 Preferred as well

Research indicates the warranty really isn't worth it as these have proven to be incredibly reliable but I get wanting piece of mind. What color did you get?

I suggest getting the Platinum - $/0 deductable 10 yr / 125,000 mile VSA - They are called Vehicle Service Agreements - not Warrantys -
- Why werent you offered 125k miles ? lower cost ?

Also - save your $$$ / and buy it just before your 3/36 inital bumper to bumper factory warranty is about to expire ( you cannot purchase it after that expires ) -
The Only reason to buy it when you get the vehicle is to finance it with the vehicle / then its easier to pay for if you are tight on $$-

Theres no other advantage of getting it right away - except - the up to 100$ / day for 5 days if breakdown over 150 miles from home for lodging etc/ then snother $50 / for rental car - but that $150 is a one time / 5 day clause and thars it - first 3/36 is the same as the 0/ 10yr/ 125k but for the $150 / 5 days - then after 3/36 is expired , it just continues to ...10 year -125,000 miles coverage

I have a 2014 CX-5 Touring and a 2021 Carbon Turbo CX-5 and have had no issues with either.

I bought the 2014 preowned and it still hasn't had any issues except normal wear and tear after owning it for 4 years.

Completely satisfied with both.
