I bought a new CX-5 in July, and this week the notice went on for scheduled service in the car. I asume this is because it is now 6 months since the car was manufactured or whenever they start the clock for maintenances for new cars, however my car is only 1,200 miles and I've had it for less than 3 months, do I still need to take it for maintenance?

 

No. If you go into the settings on your center screen, you can change the service intervals. I would set it to one year or 5000 miles.
