Factory Rear View Camera to aftermarket stereo

Factory Rear View Camera to aftermarket stereo
Has anyone successfully connected their factory rear-view camera to an aftermarket stereo? Was trying to decide if I should attempt this or just buy an after market camera.

If your lucky the stereo manufacturer has an adapter specific to the car or at least a wiring diagram with instructions to connect it. I would check the stereo manufacturers website. Although most will only give info like that to certified installers. Google should get some results if so. Alternately you can drop by a stereo install shop and they have access to any known adapters etc.
