....new rear view camera.
The other day while talking to a salesman inquiring about the CX-9,he mentioned quickly something about a reaeviw camera in the rearview mirror, but I let it slide thinking that he was mis informed (which is not unusual..). Tonight I read in the MAZDA website that they have for CX-9 a rearview camera that projects the on the rear view mirror, this is great since the only way is getting the NAV,which I find useless for me. But now this rearview camera projecting on the rearview mirror is a great offer at $665 (can be port installed or dealer installed)...that salesman was more informed that I gave him credit for....
Funny, the sales people at one dealership I visited knew nothing about this option. I guess it's not showing up on any cars so far. Has anyone seen it and if so, did it work well? The screen looks tiny. I may look into adding it to my CX-9. Anyone know how difficult it would be to add (ie - is the wiriing already there or does the interior have to be dismantled?)?

Does anyone have the Auto-Dimming Display Mirror (0000-8F-N01) and Camera Kit (0000-8F-N04) installed?
Is it the same camera as used with the nav system?
Do they just plug into the existing wiring, or do a lot of panels need to be removed to install them?
Anyone have a pdf of the instructions?

I just bought a 10.2 inch rear view mirror monitor it is US$ 94.05. The image which behind my car displayed on this monitor are pretty clear. Forgive my ignorance: Why buy a auto-dimming display mirror at US$315. Beyond my affordability.
