Default Disabling smart braking and reversing sensors with trailer

I had a factory towing kit installed with my CX-5 and know how to disable the parking sensors when using a trailer.

But the car still randomly brakes automatically while reversing the trailer because it thinks I’m going to hit something. This is pretty annoying!

Does the CX-5 have program settings to disable this when the towing plug is connected like euro cars ?

I’m having the same issue with my CX-5. Did you manage to sort this?
Any tips gratefully received.

I also had a factory towing kit installed, but no problem so far, guess install is incomplete and ECU not programmed.
