Dealer maintenace
Brake fluid is recommended every 2 yrs or 40,000kms - 24,000 miles
Engine Air filter is recommended every 3 yrs of 60,000kms, 36,000 miles ( under normal driving conditions ) obviously Mazda can't control the driving conditions you drive in, so a air filter may have seen better days by 30,000 miles.

Now, for the rest of the kind folks here that aren't so dense, please do your scheduled maintenance to enhance the life of your vehicle and maintain peak performance.
The oiled-gauze type filters are also not recommended, like AE or KN. The don't improve airflow on a stock vehicle and have shown to allow too much dust to pass through. Worse, if you happen to over-oil them said filter oil can contaminate your MAF - mass airflow sensor - creating all kinds of havoc. So just a oem or equal paper filter works best and traps the most harmful dirt that can enter your engine intake.
What did OP end up opting for?
