Dash Wiring Harness

Dash Wiring Harness
Some moisture penetrated the seal where the driver’s door wiring connects to the dash wiring harness, resulting in power window problems due to connector corrosion. The tech was completely unable to separate the door’s male connector from the dash female connector. I purchased a new door harness (approx $230) but the dash harness is $1200!. All I need is the female connector end with 6 inches of wire. None of the local auto salvage yards have a harness. It seems to me that Mazda might use the same connector for many different models and if so I could broaden my search terms. Do any of you know if this is the case? Alternatively does anyone know if it is possible to buy an aftermarket female connector? The CX5 is a 2018.
Thanks in advance to any and all who reply.

I know nothing of this, but I was watching this YouTube, SarahNTuned (no snide remarks please) and she was rewiring her MR2. She kept speaking and showing individual connectors purchased on Amazon, etc. for little money. You might be able to do that,...if you can't find one that fits the existing harness you might be able to jury rig something with non Mazda connectors

I haven't checked my CX-5 yet, but the almost all of the connectors on the wiring harness on my 2021 F250 are Molex series MX150 and are available from Digikey, Mouser, and Avnet. Check the connector housing for molded-in or laser etched part numbers, then check https://octopart.com. Many of the connector series have special PN's that have certain terminal positions blocked off that the manufacturers use to keep the unused terminal locations from leaking water into the connector. If those special connectors are not available, the always have one where all the terminal positions are open and those should be readily available.
