cx5 radar replacement
Hi, My granddaughters, 2021 cx5 touring, radar unit, behind the front emblem was destroyed in front accident. Got a used one and it will calibrate but the car won't recognize it. Mazda factory rep says we must purchase a new one. New ones will only calibrate with the original car they are installed in, used won't work? Dealers here want $2500 for the unit. Any suggestions? Thanks!

This is probably designed to discourage theft of the units.

What equipment did you use to "Calibrate" it?
Did you also replace the mounting bracket?
These require special service tools to carry out radar aiming.
