Default CX-5 carbon clean

I recently had a service and they replaced a manifold sensor. Was told i had carbon build up in inlet manifold. Any advice on best way to manage? Car running well but i am aware that carbon build up is a problem

What are the miles on your mazda.

How did they determine you had a carbon issue unless they scoped the intake and combustion chambers. That processes takes almost an hour labor time? So unless they did that not sure how they determined thier assessment. Even in GB its likely about 100 USD= 74.87 Pound Sterling. Read more like they are selling you on a service you may not need. But as I sadi you cant ask service related questions without post basic information about your mazda?

Year
Trim level
Engine size
Fuel type
Miles/kilometer
Transmission type
Prior to this resent service what was the last service done and what was it.
When was the last oil and filter service in miles?
Prior this last service What if any were problems you had to seek a service shop in miles and year?

And ......yes I do work in a service shop. LOL

I had Engine management light on, a little loss miss at low speeds/low revs. Fault code led them to replace sensor. Have used garage for several years so no reason to believe they are having me over

Ok then I gave my advise. Ask your trusted garage how they determined the carbon issue and how they advise what to do about it. I mean why did you ask a forum if you don't like the answers?
You see the blue below , that's me 34+year as such and current!!!
