Our daughter has a 2014 AWD CX-5 with about 50,000 miles on it. What recommended maintenance items are there for the car to keep it running well? Should we be changing plugs, transmission oils, etc.?

We do make sure the oil is changed every 7,500 miles and try to take good care of it. Just want to be sure we do everything we can to have it last.

At 50,000 miles, i would be concerned about the intake valves being covered with carbon. It's quite typical problem for most cars the have a GDI engine. The build up of carbon on these valves will simply degrade the performance and affect your gas mileage of your vehicle. Although it is an expensive undertaking, please have your trusted auto mechanic look at the intake valves; otherwise, you will be paying through your nostrils down the road. Good luck.
