I bet you let the engine fully warm up before any " spirited " driving and preform regular oil changes- As well care for your vehicle - and dont abuse it - Ive seen 18-19T s come in with 200+ k running like new -Keep on motoring !

I would universally stated to simply warm the engine at least until the coolant light shut off (ECU now in closed loop operations) before driving normally and yes if one plans to get aggressive the more concern would be to let the transmission completely equalize with the coolant at normal operating temperature registering on the gauge or 5-10 minutes of
normal driving. You are more apt to do unnecessary wear on the transmission than the engine. Speaking more targeting automatic transmissions .

BTW how can you use spirited driving and don’t abuse it in this post of yours?
