CX 5 2.2 d 2014 cluster
Hello.
My name is Elvis and I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have Mazda CX-5 2.2 d 2014. Recently I bought this car. And I noticed that speedometer or cluster is not showing correct speed. Also when I turn off car needle that shows speed sometimes jumps or it moves to 80 Kmh or 140 kmh. And stays there. So I went to a guy to fix this. And he fixed speed so it shows fair enough correct speed. But still needle jumps when I turn off the car or it stays on any other speed. And when I start a car it doesn't want to return needle for showing a speed to zero. So I decided to change cluster and I got one. I know how to remove and install new one. But when I installed new one it shows a DTC U2300 and it doesn't have options like old one. Did anyone had the same problem or does someone know what to do with this?
Thank you for help.

A DTC U2300 is an error code for the electronic brake system.
Can't say for sure, but you can get all kinds of code issues if didn't disconnect/reconnect the battery correctly when replaced the cluster, or anything which is hooked to the ECU/ECM/PCM (vehicle computer).
If you are not familiar and or don't have the proper equipment to find the reason for the code, you should take it to a certified technician who can.
Otherwise, you may cost yourself more time and money trying to attempt it yourself.

Elvis, the instrument cluster stores the VIN number and as-built data from the donor car, all car configurations and options are here. Hence, the U2300 error.
Don't expect it to work as-is, it needs to be programmed into your car. You need a scanner to handle as-built data or get free Forscan and ELM327.
First you need to store data from your car's IC and save it to the computer, install donor cluster and write this data.

Thank you for information. I have Forscan and ELM237. Can you please tell me how to do that. Because I called Mazda service and they want 2000 euros to do this. I mean it is really expensive. And this would be first time to do something like that.
