Callisto - How do you get 93 octane in California?
If you live near San Carlos / hwy 101 going south from San Francisco - Take the Woodside rd exit - go about a mile - on the left side of the street across from popeyes is a 76 - they sell 101 octane - you will see lots of exotic cars fueling up there - its likeky about 7-8$ a gallon now - dont live there anymore - moved about 2 yrs ago - but it should still be there -

Small world ! Yes I went to High School in SF and lived in Mill Valley , Corte Madera, San Carlos, Pacifica - and a few other locations in the Bay Area- We finally had to move - but do miss what it once was -
That Union 76 is I think called Kings 76 on woodside rd . - its 100 octane - not 101 - my bad -
Yes - I think we discussed riding once before ?
Had - a 78 Honda CB350 , BMW 75/5 and 75/7 - Yamaha YZF750R , HONDA VTR 1000 ( ducati copy ) several Honda VFRs - 98,99 and a 2001- v-tec which was a radical departure from the traditional gear driven cam 97-99 which also had the ELF single sided swingarm - for easy tire change and roadside chain adjust - my other bikes arent worth the mention( old Suzuki GS's and did have a 2-stroke 3cyl 500cc Suzuki / not the water buffalo 750 - but similar - dangerous on any turn -
...but thanks for the nostalgic reminder of Alices and the twisties on 92 - - Northern Ca was a bikers paradise. - hope im not breaking the tos rules here - I spend most time with my Mazdas now - and the 22 CX-5 is a great machine - Learning to drive a 13:1 compression ratio engine compared to my 2010 Mazda 3 -2.5 with a 9:1 is a completley different experience - finding the places were it delivers power - etc - no regrets on that pup -
On the gas the other places I found are on this map someone put together -
Thanks again for your help with the CX-5s - you seem to have a great depth of knowledge and have saved me time and money - much appreciated !
