Default BP no longer a top tier gas?

I usually use the nearby BP station - unless I use Shell. Having said that, I know BP was a top tier gas, but I no longer see them listed on the site. I wonder what happened?

Cool

As of August they were, not sure why they’re not in your link.

On another forum about chemicals, it appears that BP does not participate in the program which requires the company supplying the gasoline to submit the ingredients? So, it not that they BP being a less then quality fuel it that they want to keep their ingredientsproprietary. Kind of like Seafoam... who really knows what "ALL" the ingredients are. LOL

Sure, but I do remember seeing BP gas listed as top tier a few years ago.

Honestly I don't follow those reports. I predominately use Chevron anyway. BP ,the last I can remember ever using was maybe in the 90"s?
But that report was an interesting read!

Nah, neither do I. I saw it years ago, when I was active on the AudiWorld Forums. Then yesterday, it popped up on one of the news feeds.

looks like both BP and their other company Amoco are off the list...they were on it....either they are not putting in the same detergent or they just don't want to spend the money testing/proving

Most ECU controlled engines from about 2000 and newer will develop better and more consistent power results using Chevron fuels... Most any shop owning, and operating Chassis DYNO will concur based on testing various customer vehicles.
