My belt Tensior is singing!! Anyone have experience with Gates, Adelco, v OEM? I hear that buying OEM is the way to go, but it's obviously more expensive.
Chime in! All are welcome! Thanks in advance. Pics of my rockauto cart, and mazda part site attatched. Mazda site Rock auto cart, parts
Gates and ACDelco are common ones we use in the shop for customers vehicles.
Make sure that you go directly to the manufacture of choice to look up the part number.
DO NOT USE rock auto application guide.

Thanks for the response! You think the gates and adelco last as long as OEM?
Also, you have encountered mis fits from the rockauto guide? Yikes!

Both are minimum to OEM quality and basic specifications.
I never said or implied that about Rock Auto. Most venders, retailers and sellers of auto parts pay for a subscription of a parts look-up and cross over program. These are not certified by and manufacturer of the parts and are rarely updated or corrected for incorrect application information. Going directly to the manufacturer website and using their parts application guide is the best and most accurate information you can get.
we often get customers that bring their own parts to be installed that are incorrect because they did not use the information I replied with.
Also the MYTH about so many getting wrong parts when they go to a parts retailer is not that parts person looking it up but the customer that does not have or know all the information about their own vehicle.
Always have these most basic information when looking up parts or shopping in a auto parts retail store :
Year both year and month
Make
Model
Trim
Engine size
And the most important VIN
