Hey there, just sharing my experience. I have a 2014 3 isport Japan build. 227,000 miles so far. Yeah!
Latelly, it feels sometimes it slips on 2 or 3 gear but nothing severe. I drive like grandma these days.

The other thing with your temperatures issues indicates that the cooling system when you had your engine changed was likely NOT completely servcied and the system cleaned before new coolant was added.
