Default Auto High Beams

Am I correct that when the headlights handle is pushed *forwards* the high beams will come on automatically, when it's in the middle position low beams all the time, and pulling it towards me just momentarily flashes the lights?

On my ‘21 the forward position will have high beams on, which switch to low beams if I select auto high beams in the console. This happens when there is enough light to the front, like an approaching car (or even a street light). Middle is low beams. Pulling towards you flashes high.

I've got a 2021 GT so I think that's how mine works. I feel dumb because I drove the car for only the first or second time at night in a couple months last night and forgot which way was supposed to be where. I couldn't remember if forward was automatic high beams or middle was.

I just leave mine forward. The cameras (I think) detect situations where regular (non-high beams) are active, and turns high beams on when they're possible.

Yup. Headlights set to Auto and stalk pushed forwards enables auto high beams. My only complaint about the Auto headlights is they don't turn on in rain so you drive around with DRLs on, but no marker lights in the rear.

I never thought about that but you're right.

Also I don't think the fog lights come on at all in the automatic setting you need to have them set to "on" and put the headlights into the regular "on" setting also.

I am pretty sure if you have the headlights on "auto" and have the fog lights "on" they will turn on and off with the auto lights. That way it optional for them to be on all the time when the headlights activate.

Well I'll be darned you're right! I started it up with the door open just a bit and the overhead lights off and everything did come on!
