Yes, the dealers in the US offer it for $199 + labor which brings it to about $400. Pretty expensive

 

I got Android Auto Play in my new Hyundai for free. It really works well, but the rest of the infotainment system is not as good as Mazda's.

 

My dealership wants $400 plus tax to install car play.

a lot of people have the same problem... so I am fount information here about

 

I received an e-mail from Mazda telling me that Apple Car Play and Android Auto were both available for my CX. All I had to do was to contact my local dealer and make an appointment to be ripped off.

 

So what is Apple Play and why do I need it? I'm already synced with the iPhone iTunes. I can get Siri to call someone.

 

The main benefit for me is that you can use and see Google Maps / Waze or Apple Maps directly on your infotainment screen. It's pretty convenient, I have it in my 2016 VW Golf. However, for the 2018 CX-5, I am not going to spend $400 just to get this upgrade, it's too expensive IMHO.
