Hi! Brand new Mazda owner here, 2020 CX-5 GTR! Looking for aftermarket Roof rails and cross bars. These have 5-star reviews on Amazon but would love to know from this forum if anyone has purchased?

I have not. But I will throw in my 2¢. The reviews are spread out over a couple of years and are all "verified purchase", so that's a good sign. Not only does that help reassure that they're not fake reviews, but also indicates the vendor maintains consistency in the quality.

One reviewer mentioned that even though the listing estimates 6 week delivery time (from China), they actually received theirs in only 6 days. Another good sign. This set is not the cheapest on Amazon, but IMO solid 5-star rating is worth a little extra. Personally, I wouldn't hesitate if I were in the market for some, especially knowing how accommodating Amazon customer service has been whenever I've phoned in (don't email) with a problem on any order in the past (as opposed to eBay that basically throws you to the wolves).

 

And here is just my 2 cents having sold roof racks and other roof rail attached devices for auto's, trucks,RV's and trailers... in my time... LOL

Reviews must really be taken with a grain of salt. Try tracking who actually left them and why? Raise your hands how many marketers have ask you to do products reviews from a list of markets wares they have! LOL
It is really or at least my thought to read the"top" list of things and the reviews and compare different top lists to narrow down to a better choice of something like a roof rack. Or really most anything?
Or even better not buy it on the internet but find a retailer in your area that carries a brand of roof racks.
When I had my retail stores before I picked up a new line to carry I required to know who the actual manufacture was and not the distributor. This way you can see what their full line is and other important information that can effect your reputation offering their products.

I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you talk to your auto insurance carrier and see if a roof rack will be covered should something happen while travel down the road! Some companies will not cover them so you would be 100% liable should one fail and cause property damage to other vehicles, private property or worse people!



BIrdDOG you are spot on when it comes to customer service with Amazon. Most of the time the items are a bit more costly but when issues,concerns and problems come up they are second to no one to get you taken care of .

People that get items from CHINA in the the US in less then 14-21 days only means that some NIB stock was already due to arrive or had already arrived if you actually read the transportation documentation(generally in Chinese so you will need an interpreter to read it for you) you can see that it was rerouted to the customer from distribution center at the customs port were they already arrived likely before the order of something was placed.
