Alternator Harness
A rodent chewed through my alternator cables. They are the small gauge wires that plug into the alternator. I've been looking up replacing the entire cable thinking it plugs in from the alternator to somewhere else. But all I find are parts that I would need to solder the wires together. Makes no sense to me as I would guess you just plug it in at two points. Any idea of the part I need? Its a 2016 CX 5.

As far as I know it is part of the main wiring harness, which is around $950, plus the cost to replace.
Alternative is wiring it to the harness yourself, meaning stripping and soldering.
If your plug is not usable, wires chewed off too short, the website below has the plug with 10" wires attached for $80.
They also offer a kit to attach to the wiring harness.
