Air Sensor/Oil Light issue. Broken down twice
Hi Mazda Forum,
Last week my car broke down. The oil light came on.
I took the car to the Mazda mechanic. They fixed it up and said it was just the Sensor Air Flow.
They replaced the part, but my car broke down again this morning with the exact same issue. The oil light stayed on same as last time.
The repair cost more than $500 and it's unfortunate that the issue hasn't been fixed.
If anyone has any experience with this problem or knows what the issue is I'd greatly appreciate feedback/advice.
Kind regards,

Did you take it to a Mazda dealership or just someone who works on Mazda's?
Did they carry out a diagnostic code scan?
When you say it broke down, what actually happened? Was it still driveable?

Hey everyone, thank you for replying.
I got my car back after handing it to the mechanic again and it turns out the Air Sensor Flow part that was replaced wasn't set up properly.
So the internal chip/computer didn't realise the faulty piece had been replaced yet, so thankfully it's all fixed properly this time around.
Seems Smart Cars can be a bit too smart for themselves sometimes
Many thanks and kind regards.
