Default Aftermarket roof rails

Hello y’all!!

I’m new to the forum, but have been a car enthusiast for years. I’ve had my 2016 CX 5 for about 4 years now; bought new in 2017. However, I’m just now adding a roof rack and rails to it. Hauling my 1 kayak has been fun with previous methods, but now I’ve got one for my son too. I’m looking at roof rails and the first set I got didn’t fit bc it was for 2017+ (oops)

Since returning my product Amazon has given me a gift card with the refund. So I’m stuck with ordering through Amazon. (SMH) I saw a good deal on cx 3 roof rails and rack. Does anyone know the difference in cx 3 and 5 dimensions? I don’t want to get the wrong thing again and am running outta time for our vacation.

So my question is, would the rails fit my cx 5??

Look on the Mazda site for official part numbers. If they are different, then they are likely purpose made for those vehicles. Since the CX3 is based on a much smaller platform than the CX5, my guess is that they are not compatible, but I do not have the time to research today.
