About to purchase USED CX-5 - is this a good price?
I am really close to purchasing a used CX-5. I have been waffeling between the CRV and CX5. I am in sales and drive a bit and I like the interior better and it gets better gas mileage. Here are the specs and price on the one I like - Im trying to get input to see if I have room to negoicate and how to go about it. I am not good at it and dont want to get ripped off.
2014 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring, AWD, Black exterior and interior.
51,000 miles
No accidents and one owner
$18,000 Purchase Price (they came down to this after I asked for best price, it was at $18.500)
I dont have a quote about the extended warranty but asked for one. The tires have no tread but I have no idea when they were last replaced.

We just spent 2 years looking for a used CX5 that met our specifications, and finally bought a 2016 GT with 7K miles for 25K. While I was mostly looking for a 2015-16, that price you're quoted for a 2014 looks consistent with what we were seeing for the GT model and probably what you can expect to pay. Most of the 2015 models with 30-40K miles were about 21K. The CX5 market was the toughest I had worked since finding a used MX5 I wanted 4 years ago, and I didn't find any super cheap deals. I'd say if it is the right CX5 for you, its a fair price.
