Check for worn engine & transmission mounts.

Depending on the problem, it can start affecting only one gear and then the rest.

Jumping into neutral which is your issue I am answering you about.
Loose engine or transmission mounts are what can cause that issue.
If they get loose enough the issue can progress to any gear you are in, if your hand is not on the shifter.
Check and make sure all bolts are all there, none missing, and tightened properly.
If that doesn't solve your issue than you will need to look at other causes (broken motor mount, worn shifter, transmission, etc.)

Many thanks, it's booked in with a gearbox place in the morning, fingers crossed it's a mount or loose bolt then🤞🤞👍👍

Yes, that is possible but requires dropping the transmission pan to change the filter to accomplish.
I would not change the fluid without changing the filter.

Lobstah, this person has a manual gearbox, not a auto.
