Linear thinking is why some believe a CX5 NA wont hit 60 in 7 seconds +- / --, For example - the removal of the spare (which i have done unless on a road trip) back seats / and proper tires , fuel as well and fuel level being below 1/4 of a tank --and no other pax on board / xlnt maint -oil - Ive had results in the 7 second area- but seldom need to as Ive never had an issue getting into traffic ? How one breaks the engine in etc all contribute- I dont have a controlled environment to verify slope etc - and asphalt vs concrete -- but theres a difference there as well - Mabey its my watch and not the vehicle :-))

I still don't believe a 7 second 0-60 even with all those caveats.

I agree and that members is NOT saying how he derived at the results either. lol
I see real world results in most all of my vehicle using an Autometer D-pic. This has been recognized for a few decades as one of the most accurate meters for several aspects of vehicle performance measuring.
I doubt he has one or other product recondited as being able to accurately measure the 0-60mph times.
But it is funny mentioning the fuel reduction (6lbs approx.. per gallon) and losing a spare tire(20-80lbsaprox) and nothing mentioning the spark plug energy effect that happens from long intervals in between WOT use that effect a full throttle 0-60 mph time in the negative , will affect times so much. most professional racers and car performance builder start that consideration at the 100lb marks .
The other thing speaking of weight, I know for a fact cuz he would have mentioned it has NEVER gotten a certified GVW weight done nor a chassis Dyno run for a baseline of real world power levels.
If he had he would be very surprised and disappointed by the results.
I would hate to post my Mazda's times....
Then again maybe his Mazda does what he claims on a 75 shot of Nitrous... NOT!!! LOL

Ok so the base CX5 is rated 0-60 8.1 seconds -NOT broken in .....- and you think that shaving 1.1 seconds off is an impossibility ? Its actually rather easy with - proper oil service. fuel and weight reduction - as well as surface choice--and tire pressure

Are you seriously saying you have a brand new 2025 CX-5 and you took the spare tire and back seats out of the car to reduce weight? LOL....
