2026 cx5 turbo discontiued -=finally
I think I found how the 0-60 mph times were reported by a member or 2. Instead of knowing the actual imperial information they used a speed calculator. If they used the Mazda reported engine power, then they would be waaaaay off with what they entered. Also, unless they used the correct test weight they would also be off especially if they used the speciation's posted by Mazda. And if they used the power rating based on a Turbo Model then they are off again with their HP input information. The Turbo while producing more power stock then the N/A still needs to completely spool up to support the higher rated power levels. In 3 -5 seconds that is not possible on a stock teenie- tiny Turbocharger used by Mazda in stock build.
There are plenty of actual professional 0-60 and 1/4 mile test runs on most years of the Mazda CX-5 2.5L NA and Turbo.
They all run within the times I previously posted in this thread.
From 2013 to present including all models and all NA/Turbo engines the best 0-60mph times achieved with stock configurations were 6.1 to 9.37 seconds.
As Calisto said, most speed calculators will give the 2.5L engine a time of 6.0-6.5 which, except for the turbo, is incorrect.
For gas powered if you want speed and quickness get a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT coupe 0-60mph 2.9 seconds.
If you want even faster get an electric Rivian R1S Quad Max 2.6 seconds

Found this page with a compilation of the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for the CX-5 over the years in various configurations. The NA 2.5 is ~8 seconds 0-60 and the turbo is low 6's...

These are and this website is better than most but still not real world tested. And even they hint to that.
The results are the highest possible under near perfect condition or someone using the program and gathering the information.
Sorry but all your rides are slower......

Not in the real world
It would be so nice if some members actually did the test instead of reading results found in print or on the web.
It really is so different in the real physical world 😎
