I find that Mazda's turbos are actually really good compared to the other brands in the market. They had some issues when they released them in the beginning, but they definitely got it fine tuned. I think it's a mistake killing it, because a lot of consumers like myself don't want to wait 9 seconds with the NA motor to get to 60 MPH on the highway lol. Plus I drive both motors at the moment, and god do I miss the power and smoothness of the turbo when I'm not driving it.

0-60 time 7.9 seconds is the average for the NA 0-60 and 6.2 for the turbo.
1.7 seconds for $1700 more dollars and having to using premium fuel is not worth it to me.
Besides I never go 0-60 getting to get on the highway as I'm already doing 70 on the ramp

same...i don't need a turbo...it isn't fast but it does the job just fine to get me where i need to go...at about 14k+ miles in my 9 months of ownership...love the car but i would make a few design/feature changes but none are deal breakers (radio interface, thigh support or longer driver's seat, more back seat room, more cargo space, redesign armrest cup holder area)...other than that it's great

We need to use the correct wording there is FAST and there is QUICK two totally and misunderstood and often misused words.

Most Mazda's are not quick but fast enough.
I quickly accelerated to get on the highway because the other car were already traveling very fast.
NASACARs are fast but a NHRA Dragster is quick

This is important because it has directly the description of performance of vehicle.

Interesting take on quick and fast. Very subjective IMHO.

You also have to consider the timeframe. For example, what was quick/fast in 1988 is likely not today. I had a 1988 Mazda 323GT sedan, which was quite quick for the time (0-60 in 7.4 seconds), but this is a very common figure in today's world.

Its not a year production thing its exactly how the words are used or mean for the matter. Owners often misuse the words. While real vehcle enthusiast generally use them properly, and those that are into car sports or competition would never misuse them. LOL There is a BIG difference but hey the more that debate this or respond to my more or less poking fun at some it will effectively separate them for those that are enthusiasts to know who really isn't. hahah!

My PT Cruiser is quick but not fast. And the 0-60mph I would hate to post and embarrass some of you. LOL
I have posted the video a few times.

This is not a grammar thing but a car enthusiast word usage. Those that take any kind of offence likely are also the ones that defend the miss descriptive car enthusiast wording.

So basically, they are "EING NUTS" !!! So please "don't blow a head gasket" over it!
