The same carguide clickbait also said the 2022 refresh would fit an inline 6. There are dozens of those clickbait sites pushing rumors, speculation. The middle of that even says only speculation. Speculating is fine. It is about time for a redesign. The current CX-5 has been running since 2017 with a minor refresh in 2022. That's 9 model years. It is still a beautiful vehicle and I hate to see them make it rugged or box it off as often the trend now. I'm more interested in what they do with the powertrain.

 

We will all know soon enough (late summer/early fall). Hopefully it isn't a big dissapointment like the CX-70 reveal.

 

I don't care what it's called as long as they don't ruin it by trying to make it "rugged"! Also, I'd love to see a hybrid powertrain with the 6sp not a CVT.
