Hello all,

If anyone has a 2026 CX-5, can you tell me if it is possible to have Google Assistant work if you also are using Apple Car Play? And if so, how did you set it up? It seems as though if I have one working, as soon as I try to set up the other one, it undoes the first one.

According to Mazda it is not possible.
They are two separate OS and you cannot run two different OS on any computer (ECU) that doesn't have a dual boot system.
You can run one or the other but not at the same time.
I suspect running any aftermarket software that could accomplish this would void or impact your warranty as it does with many PC manufacturers.

 

You can download the Google Assistant or the Google Gemini app from the Apple App Store. Since iOS restricts third-party assistants from fully replacing Siri, you have to launch the app manually or create custom Siri Shortcuts.
