Default 2024 Mazda CX 5 non turbo mpg

With just over 600 miles on the odometer I am getting 29.4 mpg. I live in the country so my driving is some stretches of country roads and some city driving.

That's better than I get on my 2014 when doing nothing but expressway.

Out of curiosity do you have FWD or AWD?

I believe all of the 2024 models are AWD.

I get over 30 mpg on the majority of my drives.
Over 32+ mpg when on roads posted over 45 mph.
Only time I ever get anything below 30 are very short drives in town/city.

Yup you're right it's standard now. I don't know which year they dropped FWD.

You need to wait until your engine is run-in before comparing the MPG which for a Mazda Skyactiv engine is low side of 5-8k miles.

Your MPG should improve, and IMHO based on what you are getting now you are a conscientious driver. My guess is your brakes will also last well into the high 50k plus miles as well!

Yes I am easy on the gas pedal. I'm a senior citizen not interested in getting a speeding ticket and not in a rush to get anywhere. I am content with current mpg but the more the better. Appreciate your post.
