2024 CX5 Seat Covers
I'd appreciate a recommendation of a company that makes fitted covers specifically for the front seats on the CX5. Can't seem to find any that aren't universal which will not do. I don't know for sure but I believe the problem is the seat mounted airbags and possible legal problems if they don't deploy when required.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.
Seat covers I am sure if you contact some suppliers directly they may have them. Have you considered having some custom made from an auto upholstery shop?
Its is not because of seat air bags .

I checked with a couple of auto upholsters here and both specifically told me it's because of the airbags. I also called one of the better known national manufacturers who made the ones for my RAV$ and they, and others I see, stay away from Mazda other than the Mazda3. For the same reason?
I've found one that does list covers for the 2023 which Mazda Parts say they are the same thing and I'm hoping the seat cover people just haven't updated their website. I'll call them next week when they are open to confirm. I'm not too sure with this one either as their site only shows options for the rear split on the CX5.
I also looked into the recovers from an upholster. I'll keep that in mind as an option when I win the lottery.
I'll keep looking and update the thread if I find anything promising.
Thanks for the welcome. I tend to keep my vehicles much longer than the norm so I plan on being around here for quite some time. Hopefully not looking for help with problems though.
PS: I picked up the front seat floor liners this morning from Mazda and they fit really well. I don't have any weathertech ones at auto stores here to compare them to but these look like they'll do fine.

The Mazda liners are OK but don't have much of a lip on the edge. I started with them and went to Oedro later, which have better coverage. Especially in back, where the mat is one continuous piece from side to side. https://www.oedro.com/finder/1/2021/...4-door/1126556

Thats ridicules.... the only thing an upholster needs to use is the safety thread.
There is countless auto upholstery shop that use it and make custom seat covers even with seat with airbags!
You just seem to pick a shop that must not have wanted to make them for you. lol
I personally had my Mazda seat upgraded with some ribbing that require the factory stitching be remove and stitching used for the ribbing. The thread used was a slightly lighter weight then even MAZDA used for the seat with the air bag. LOL
As far as I am aware there is no warning on seat covers form most all seat cover suppliers stating you cannot use them with a seat with an air bag. Which btw most all manufactured vehicle's now have.

@chickdr19 Thanks for the info on the liner. The Mazda ones I bought are nowhere near the quality of the regular rubber mats I had in my last vehicle so I don't expect them to last very long with regular abuse by work boots. Thanks too for passing along Shear Comfort for the seat covers. I came across them yesterday along with a couple of others so it doesn't look like I'll have much of a problem afterall. My initial searchs were for the specific seat covers and not much came up. Once I got a couple of manufacturer names and looked directly at their sites there were more options. Still, I'll need to go through some of the off-site reviews for some of the feedback to find a good choice I was originally after here. Thanks again.

Lastly get of fthe internet and make direct calls... the old fashion way of finding information many times trumps the www!
I suggest looking into Wet Okole. Custom-fit seat covers for the CX5 that are designed to work with seat-mounted airbags. Wet Okole seat covers are made from neoprene, which is waterproof and very durable. I’ve had them in my car for years, and they’ve held up great while maintaining a snug fit. They also come in various colors and patterns, so you can personalize your car's interior.

Your Mazda is a 2024. That said it takes a little time before independent companies update all their retail media information. Not to mention all their distributors that have their own cataloging programs. This is why you do need to go directly and to contact the manufacturers and retailers of seat covers, much like how browsing this Polaris Ranger accessories page connects you straight to verified products and real manufacturer information. As for feedback well it a "CRAP SHHOT" if you believe them or if they are not a paid group that actually post feedback under the illusions that they are really using the product. there are companies that pay individuals to do nothing but go down a list of items and post on social media the feedback targeted by the company.
