2022 Premium Plus key fob electronics
Anyone know how to remove all the key fob electronic guts, and place into a new key fob shell.
Just received our gently used 14k miles Premium Plus about a month ago.
One of the FOBS has the lock and unlock buttons in the side missing.
Will still work using a toothpick to carefully activate the two functions.
This is our secondary “keep in the house” FOB, but I’m **** about such things.
i’ve replaced batteries in both, so I know how to break them down that far.
on Amazon reviews, I see one of the main complaints of this Mazda FOB shell is:
No instructions, and difficulty in figuring out the process of electronic board switchover.
Wondering if anyone has done this?
Msybe I should just not mess with it? 🤗

As far as I know they don't make replacement buttons you need to get the entire FOB.
The smaller Mazda FOB is relatively easy to do (see below).
Never attempted it on my larger CX-5 FOB.
It will definitely come apart but not sure how difficult or "error free" that will be.
